13 months

13 months!!

I'm a little late, but it seems like it's been a little crazy around here lately.. Eli is now a walker! Saturday morning (may 4) he woke up and he was walking..falling..walking..falling. So instead of crawling after he fell he stood up and started walking again! It was so fun. He just loves it. He is so proud of himself.

What he's been up to this month:

*Sleeping great! 2 naps a day for about an hour-hour and half. Sleeping through the night. Sleeping a little later in the morning too..all the way to 7! :) We put the boys to bed in their room and shut the door..and a couple minutes later you hear them talking back and forth for a good 30 minutes and then it's quiet! They have to tell their stories to each other before they go to bed. It's so cute.

*Eating all table food. He is such a good eater and loves to feed himself. James was/is a little more particular on what he wants to touch his hands so he never really fed himself unless it was cheerios or something similar. Eli loves to feed himself strawberries, grapes, waffles, olives, he tried mushroom last night and wasn't too sure he liked it yet, tomatoes. And then I shovel the rest in..but he keeps himself occupied while I'm getting the meal ready.

*Biter. If he is mad or excited he will try to bite! Yikes he can get you and it hurts.

*Loves puppies. He will scream while pointing to one, but if you go up close he's not too sure he wants to touch it. He likes animals until they get to close! Today he did touch and feed the goats at the zoo though!

*"huh?" he'll ask a question while pointing, or scream to get my attention if he needs something. He's not a quiet guy by any means but he doesn't have any words yet. He is only signing "please" now. I guess he figures it gets him anything he needs..it must be the most important/only one he needs to know. Says momma, dadda, hi and waves. I'm not sure mom and dad are intentional yet though. There have been a couple times though that I want to say he knew what he was saying :)



*Loves to play with James/take/copy/get into anything James is playing with. It's so cute how he looks up to him already. James isn't the biggest fan of it but he does pretty well with the responsibility.






*Quite adventurous. I think I'll have my hands full with him. He wants to do everything and isn't afraid to try to figure it out himself!

*Plays great by himself. He will play alone for half hour. I have to go find him because he's quiet and playing so nicely..I figure he must be doing something mischievous!


*He has the mischievous look down! He will look at me and giggle and then get into whatever it is he isn't suppose to. I think I'll have my hands a little more full with him!




















*Such a sweet cuddle bug. He wakes up so happy. Loves to give hugs and wet sloppy kisses. He's always smiling.
